About Harry Griendling
An entrepreneur, innovator, corporate leader, educator, thought-leader, author, and a published songwriter, Harry brings a unique blend of practical business wisdom and a natural creativity to every assignment he undertakes.
Harry’s 30-plus year career includes holding Director and Executive positions in high-growth technology-driven organizations, from start-ups to global industry leaders, in Talent Acquisition, Product Marketing, Client Services, Client Education, and Human Resources functions.
Following his corporate career, Harry founded and continues to serve as CEO of DoubleStar, the country’s first and most successful recruitment consulting firm, for over 25 years. Under Harry’s leadership, DoubleStar was named twice to the INC 500 list of America’s fastest-growing companies and six times to the Philly 100 list of fastest-growing firms in the Delaware Valley. He has led the execution of over 1,150 long-term consulting projects for over 425 of the most respected employers in the Pharmaceutical, IT, Finance, Healthcare, Engineering, and Biotechnology industries.
A recognized thought-leader on acquiring and developing talent, Harry has authored and delivered over 100 educational seminars and presentations at regional, national, and international conferences and events. He has provided expert commentary in print and televised media for Fox Business News, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, MSNBC, USA Today, Reuters TV, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philly Business News Network and FOX29 News, among others.
Harry has conducted Talent Assessments and has designed and led customized Leadership, Workforce Optimization, and Recruiting & Retention Seminars at over 75 organizations, including Novo Nordisk, The Vanguard Group, Cigna, Sonnelalp Hotels, PennMedicine, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Cisco, GSK, Main Line Health, QVC, Pfizer, AMEC, Einstein Health Network, New Jersey Manufacturer’s Insurance, Dorman Products, The Southern Company, Campbell Soup Company, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Tower Health, Becton-Dickenson, Munich Reinsurance, the HR Leadership Institute, the Pharmaceutical CEO Conference, SHRM, and countless other organizations.
Active in academics, Harry delivers graduate and undergraduate lectures at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and serves on the Fox School’s HR Curriculum Advisory Committee. As a former member of Villanova University’s adjunct faculty, he has designed and delivered graduate-level coursework in Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, and Talent Management principles.
Harry serves on the Board of Directors for Play On! Philly, a non-profit providing orchestral music education for underserved children throughout Philadelphia, and has served the Curtis Institute of Music on multiple Board Committees. In his free time, Harry is an accomplished songwriter who has written over 100 songs and published two CDs of original music with Tribe Sound Records.
Harry holds M. Ed. and B.S. Degrees from The Pennsylvania State University.
